As a Development & Industrialization Chemist you will:
- Develop and industrialize new technologies from research to product launch in the market.
- Lead a team of 1-4 direct reports.
- Manage Delivery Systems projects across multiple disciplines and collaborate with cross-functional, cross-regional and internal/external partners (Manufacturing, Purchasing, QA, Sales, Tollers).
- Participate in the development of delivery systems technology strategies from a scientific standpoint.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Develop new technologies from research to industrial scale.
- Ensure robustness of the process before going to large scale.
- Define, initiate, plan and execute industrialization of new delivery systems technologies in factory (internal or external).
- Identify and quantify continuous improvement, ways of working and technical innovation opportunities.
- Develop action plans for improvement opportunities or further technical capabilities including CAPEX proposals.
- Participate in CAPEX projects, submit CAPEX requests for lab equipment.
- Conduct activities in compliance with internal and external EHS regulations.
- Monitor and report progress and performance against the project plan.
- Manage priorities and change.
- Interact with internal (Manufacturing, Purchasing, QA, Sales) and external stakeholders (Tollers, Suppliers).
- Be part of the Global team of Delivery Systems Product, Process & Industrialization and support in different initiatives whenever needed.
Your Profile:
- Chemical Engineer / Chemist PhD or Master with at least 5 years of industrial experience.
- Knowledge of encapsulation polymerization, organic chemistry, formulation, material sciences.
- Fluent in English and French.
