What you’ll do & Who you are
As a Product Designer, you will craft high-quality, intuitive, and consistent user experiences by placing the user at the center of every decision. You will lead discovery processes to uncover business needs, identify opportunities, and validate solutions through research and testing. Working closely with product teams, developers, and fellow designers, you will ensure that designs meet quality standards, align with business objectives, and adhere to established design principles. Additionally, you will track UX metrics and drive continuous design improvements. You will be part of a dynamic Design team of over 20 designers and researchers, collaborating with experienced UX specialists to create impactful product experiences.
Missions
- Work in leboncoin’s Real Estate Tribe
- Squads and User-Centrism: Act as the advocate for user-centricity within the squads.
- Product Roadmap: Contribute insights to the product roadmap.
- Personal Organization: Balance work across 2-3 squads, organize your personal roadmap quarterly to ensure announcements and meet deadlines.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate continuously with the team, with a stronger focus on your Product counterpart. Work closely with developers before, during, and after the process to ensure feasibility, production quality, and optimal use of technical capabilities.
- Discovery Process
- Continuous Discovery: Explore problem spaces and identify opportunities.
- Process Responsibility: Oversee the discovery process and contribute at every stage.
- Scoping: Facilitate scoping activities and contribute to initiatives like historical analysis and metrics evaluation.
- Research: Lead research efforts (user research, desk research) with the support of a research system and researchers.
- Data-Informed Decisions: Incorporate relevant data at appropriate stages of discovery.
- Design and Experimentation
- Choosing Design Activities: Solve problems by selecting the right design activities based on risks, uncertainties, and pragmatism.
- Workshops and Ideation: Prepare and lead ideation workshops (conceptualization, design jams, etc.).
- Prototyping and Experimentation: Facilitate the design and development of experimental Proof of Concepts (e.g., fake doors).
- Experience Design: Prototype simple, coherent, and high-standard user experiences.
- Validation and Continuous Improvement
- Validation: Plan and conduct user testing.
- UX Metrics and Improvement: Ensure squad UX metrics (CES, CSAT) are tracked and improved. Manage the UX debt backlog.
- Collaboration with Design Systems and Visual Design
- Design System: Communicate needs and contribute to the creation of new components with the Design System Manager.
- Visual Design: Collaborate with Visual Designers to enhance the desirability of designs. Contribute to new component guidelines and perform design reviews.
Traits and experiences
- Strong experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer in an agile environment.
- You are a problem solver at heart and have a strong conceptual and interaction design skill set. Your biggest strength is breaking complex challenges down into smaller parts.
- You have a goal-oriented mindset and drive results through your ability to establish and strengthen trust, empathy and disciplined collaboration with stakeholders.
- Experience working on global initiatives - understanding how to build scalable designs and products that can flex across teams, users and languages.
- Ability to deliver fast, high-quality insights and recommendations that support product decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data (A/B experimentation, data analysis, user research, competitor and market analysis).
- You are up to date with the latest design trends, product experimentation methodologies, lean discovery and validation process, and ways to measure UX success. You are passionate about product development and are constantly looking for ways to improve the discovery and delivery process.
- Ability to inspire and guide designers, researchers and other team members without direct authority and provide hands-on leadership.
- You have excellent soft skills and are able to provide and give constructive feedback in order to ensure you’re always working towards the most suitable solution.
- Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, and writing skills. You are a user advocate and build impactful relationships across the organisation, balance empathy with conviction, drive consensus, and motivate an organisation toward change.
- Being fluent in English is a must criteria.
- Experience in the real estate field is an asset.
