As part of the Group IT Security Team of Edenred, and reporting to the Head of Application, Infrastructure & Data Security, the Data Security Specialist will be responsible for being the key person in driving data security topics within Edenred.
This role takes place in a Center of Expertise, which regroups around 12 people in France and Romania specializing in different areas such as risk analysis, security in projects, security architecture, cloud security, network & infrastructure security, and security testing.
The main role of the team is to define key security practices and tools for the Group, and – if applicable – provide associated services and support across the different Business Units.
One key feature of the team is that each expert is closely working with each other, with the possibility to organize their time with the input of the manager to work on the areas led by the other members. This way, you can:
- Provide your own expertise to the rest of the team;
- Get the expertise of the other members you may need for your topics: some examples applying to this position could be cryptology or understanding business risks, for instance;
- Train and develop other members of the team on Data Security, to make other experts learn and be able to back you up for your tasks.
The team also includes dedicated project managers, helping to organize build tasks and reporting.
More specifically, the Data Security Specialist will be in charge of:
- Leading the definition of the policies, solutions, and practices to implement regarding data security, namely:
- Solutions and practices to prevent exfiltration of data, such as Data Leak Prevention, data marking or protection of unstructured data on collaborative tools;
- Solutions and practices to anonymize, tokenize, pseudonymize data, for instance in non-production or in data warehouses;
- Solutions and practices to secure generative Artificial Intelligence, for instance: AI assistants for employees, Robotic Process Automation relying on AI;
- Supporting the CISOs, local IT teams and Data Protection Correspondents in Business Units of Edenred across the world on Data Security Topics & AI;
- Understanding the business security needs on data and contributing to data classification topics, those areas being led by the Risk & Compliance Team;
- Writing policies, procedures and guidelines related to Data Security & AI Security;
- Contributing to the definition and follow-up of Key Performance Indicators / Key Risk Indicators;
- Involving and training some key members of the team on Data Security topics;
- Supporting Data Protection teams (from Legal) on more technical security topics;
- Supporting and being a backup for the rest of the team on risk analysis and third-party security (this can be adjusted based on the areas you want to work on and your profile).
WE WILL VIBE WITH YOU
Graduated from a Master’s Degree or equivalent, you have 5 years experience in:
- A similar function;
- Or in cybersecurity in general, preferably with some experience on topics related to data, for instance: classification, Data Leak Prevention projects, anonymization projects, security of AI;
- Or in data, typically positions such as data scientist or engineering related to data, preferably with an understanding of cybersecurity.
You have demonstrated the following abilities:

- Thinking in terms of business risks, and prioritizing actions and controls based on it;
- Assessing technical solutions to answer business needs, together with experts and end-users;

- Communicating and working in a transversal manner with different IT teams, including Data teams, IT Security & Data Product owners;
