What is Holis?

Holis is an entity of the Singulier Group, a consulting firm providing strategic and transformation support for private equity/investment funds and established companies.

Holis is an entrepreneurial initiative to build and drive data analytics expertise at Singulier. With our multiple data sources, we build a holistic view of target companies, their consumers, and their market. The goal is to help our clients make informed decisions based on insights they wouldn’t otherwise have access to easily.

We work with our strategy consultants or directly with our clients and manage all our data processing, from data gathering to data visualization.

To support and accelerate our analyses, we are gradually building a platform that automates the different data processes used to answer the needs of our clients. Whenever we identify a recurring need, we build the corresponding piece of the platform and processes so that everything progressively becomes leaner and more efficient. Ideally, we want to fully automate a comprehensive set of analyses that answers all the questions around a given company’s performance.

Being an analyst at Holis

At Holis, the role of the Analytics Team is to help our clients get the most valuable insights from our data.

We work closely with the Tech Team and Singulier consultants to deliver complete expertise from the initial problem scoping to client delivery, including all data steps along the way.

When working on a client case, the Analytics Team responsibilities include:

• Identify and scope relevant analyses to answer a business question.
• Gather, clean, and enrich data as much as necessary.
• Build the analyses, drive conclusions, and present our insights.

Aside from client cases, the Analytics Team also has a pivotal role in building Holis. We are ideally fit to identify opportunities for scale and iterate with the Tech team to build our internal assets. Our team carries the voice of our customers and helps guarantee that what we build has value for our business. Therefore, this is a highly entrepreneurial, multi-skilled team with many possibilities for learning and growth.

Job description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to work closely with our consultants on client projects to build and deliver the best analyses.

Your missions

After an onboarding and coaching phase, your main objectives will be:

• Work on different missions with our consultants on data cleaning, data preparation, and data analysis.
• Implement the Holis “Market & Competition” analyses methodology on new business cases or develop new analyses with the consultants.
• Optimize each integration's productivity to deliver future projects faster by finding ways to improve the various parts of the data flow.
• Work with the data engineers to guarantee an always operational data infrastructure.

Depending on your skillset, interests, and the needs of Holis, you may also be involved upstream in data engineering projects or downstream with client-facing and consulting responsibilities.

You will arrive at a pivotal moment in the adventure when Holis is growing and working to stabilize its vision and product.

You want to work on concrete data projects for clients in various types of industries.

• You have enough experience with Python, Spark, R, or any language fit to process data at scale.
• Ideally, you graduated from a top engineering Grand Ecole where you specialized in data science or computer science.
• You are looking for a startup experience with a dynamic environment and challenges.
• You are not afraid to explore and learn new tools, languages, or anything that could be useful to you or the team.
• Ideally, you have launched your own entrepreneurial project in the past.
• You have already worked on projects involving data cleaning, preparation, enrichment, or visualization.
• You are structured and have a sense of ownership and responsibility.
