Managerial role with global reach

My client is a leading Blockchain protocol. It is among the Top 100 Crypto projects by marketcap, with a strong track record and reputation of building advanced tech. We are looking for an experienced Global Head of Crypto Events (m/f/d), who is based anywhere in Europe (preferably one of the bigger cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam or Berlin) and ready to take on a global challenge.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a convincing global events strategy aligned with the goals of the organisation. Design a diverse portfolio of flagship events, community meet ups and hackathons.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of events, from planning to execution and post-event evaluation. Ensure exceptional attendee experiences through innovative design and seamless organisation.
• Manage and optimize an annual events budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation and maximizing ROI. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to achieve strategic objectives.
• Lead and mentor a small team of experienced events professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Provide growth opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across the blockchain ecosystem. Foster partnerships to co-host or sponsor relevant events.
• Define and track KPIs to measure event success and organizational impact. Present data-driven insights and ROI analyses to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Must have 1: Crypto industry experience at an established Blockchain protocol / larger scale project.
• Must have 2: several years of experience planning and delivering outstanding small and large scale events (Hackathons, community meet ups, conferences and side events).
• Experience leading an events team, managing internal team members as well as external event partners & vendors.
• Location & language skills: must be based in the European time zone and speak fluent English.
• Personality: we are looking for someone who combines a bias for action with strategic excellence, convincing stakeholder communication, reliability, excellent execution and outstanding negotiation skills.
