Job Description

Turner & Townsend currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Cost Managers/Estimators to support Industrial and Pharma projects in France, working collaboratively with the clients Project Manager and supply chain to provide cost management consulting to drive delivery and enable successful project outcomes.

As an experienced Cost Management/Cost Estimator professional you will establish the required processes, templates and tools, and agree the baseline for cost and schedule, whilst monitoring performance against it and incorporating the impacts of risk, opportunities and change in a controlled manner.

Office location in Paris, site presence required 3-4 days per week.

In order to do this you will:

  1. Carry out the financial estimate of the project from the feasibility phase to the more advanced phases.
  2. Achieve the client's objectives while respecting the budget allocated for the project, using key tools (estimation, reporting, projection and precise financial benchmarking).
  3. Complete feasibility studies, price requests to suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  4. Prepare the Business Consultation File (DCE), analyze offers and write the recommendation (ACT).
  5. Advise the client on the different methods of calls for tender.
  6. Estimate, negotiate and manage modification work throughout the project.
  7. Manage the impact of contingencies on project costs, monitor the budget.
  8. Be a key point of contact with the client and other stakeholders at all stages of the project.
  9. Work closely with the Project Manager and keep him informed at all stages of the project.
  10. Share your expertise with your colleagues in order to contribute to the development of the office.

Qualifications

  1. You have at least 5 years of experience in construction economics, on projects in the logistics, manufacturing, pharma sector.
  2. Being a member of #RICS would be an asset.
  3. You have real skills in the financial management of a project and its tools, as well as for the construction sector as a whole.
  4. Mobile to travel to client site 2-3 days per week.
  5. Flexible, autonomous, you know how to take initiatives and work in a team.
  6. Fluent in French and English.
  7. Proficiency in Excel and other cost management software (CostX).
