Accounts Payable and General Ledger Apprentice (12 months)

About the job: Do you like working on a variety of financial topics in parallel, with an international scope? Within our global Finance department, you will join a team based in WeWork office in Paris (Saint-Lazare) and report to our amazing APAC / MEA accountant based in Israel. Your scope will include accounts payable (approximately 75%) and general accounting (25%) for our group's subsidiaries in APAC and MEA region (including Singapore, Japan, South Korea, UAE, Egypt and KSA).

What you’ll do:

1. Be accountable for purchasing accounting management
2. Allocation of supplier invoices to expense accounts using NetSuite software
3. Creation and monitoring of virtual payment cards using Spendesk software
4. Verification and validation of expenses using Concur software
5. Setting up and monitoring payment schedules
6. Support of the monthly closing of accounts
7. Review of accruals and prepaid expenses during month end
8. Checking the New Vendors creation & updates in Ivalua, the new purchase-to-pay tool
9. Book bonus and commissions accruals

This role implies collaboration with various departments of the company (budget monitoring, agreement of payment terms, etc.), giving you the possibility to learn and develop your network!

What you’ll need to succeed:

1. Diploma in accounting from a French College or University
2. Understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices in an international environment
3. Confirmed Excel skills (xlookup, pivot tables...)
4. Proficient in English & French, to exchange with our subsidiaries abroad and our internal teams
5. Adaptability, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work autonomously and take initiatives in a growing environment
7. Knowledge of Netsuite / Spendesk / Concur or experience in a shared services center would be a plus
8. As this role could evolve into a permanent position, we are looking for a high potential profile, able to easily switch from one financial topic to another, and coordinate several locations in parallel
