As the Global Business Development Manager for the Mobility industry, you will drive customer acquisition and expand key accounts across France. You will promote industry-specific solutions based on NX group’s products and supply chain solutions, you’ll develop strategies to capture new opportunities, cross-sell services, and ensure top-level relationship management with key global and regional accounts. This role is pivotal in shaping the growth trajectory of Nippon Express in the Mobility sector.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance Nippon Express’ position in the Mobility industry and meet growth and profitability objectives with new and existing customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the French market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic account plans and achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends and competitors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the mobility sector.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored logistics solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, regular business reviews, and problem resolution.
  • Manage RFQ timelines, prepare RFI documentation, and collaborate with tender management and product divisions for proposal development.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth in the mobility sector.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to network and promote Nippon Express' services.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, handling inquiries, issues, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-country teams to drive efficiency and process improvement through effective communication, coordination, and teamwork.
  • Provide regular sales reports and analysis to management, highlighting performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage sales activities, opportunities, and customer information.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of min. 10 years in sales and business development, preferably within the logistics sector specifically focused on mobility or the automotive industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, and logistics business models.
  • Location Requirement: Applicants must be residents of France.
  • In-depth understanding of the French mobility market, including customer needs, industry trends, and competitors. Possess an excellent portfolio of contacts within the automobile industry.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a focus on cross-selling and expanding customer portfolios.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships.
  • Expertise in managing sales pipelines and RFQs through CRM systems.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to close deals and achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to effectively present and communicate complex concepts.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
  • Achievement-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work and driving business growth.
