Business Service Manager - Energy Storage System Division (ESS), Bordeaux



Position Overview

As a Business Service Manager, you will be at the forefront of generating innovative solutions and crafting proposals for long-term service contracts within the Energy Storage System Division. Your role will encompass the development of service offerings, including cost structures and operational expense (OPEX) margins, throughout the tender process for new projects. You will lead negotiations for operation and maintenance service contracts with clients, driving the implementation of new solutions and initiatives to enhance customer support and business profitability. This includes productivity initiatives aimed at reducing operating expenses and improving customer margins.



Key Responsibilities

  • Service Solutions Development: Propose operation and maintenance (O&M) and OPEX service solutions for long-term contracts.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the development and negotiation of service agreements with customers and subcontractors, ensuring all requirements are accurately reflected and accounted for in the service contracts.
  • Tool Improvement: Ensure continuous development and enhancement of the operating cost and service management tool.
  • Sales Growth: Collaborate with the customer and marketing teams to identify and capitalize on after-sales service sales opportunities.
  • Service Offerings Generation: Develop new solutions and global service offerings for both new and existing service contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives, incorporating field feedback into new or existing service offerings.
  • Spare Parts Management: Support processes and methods for spare parts consumption, warranty management, inventory forecasting, optimization, and pool sharing across key O&M service contracts/customers.
  • Digital Solutions: Assist in implementing digital solutions, remote monitoring, diagnostics, and a 24/7 hotline to enhance the management of long-term operation and maintenance contracts.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Safety Culture: Support team members in understanding and promoting a strong safety culture.



Education and Experience

  • Commercial Proposals: Over 10 years of experience in writing commercial proposals.
  • Pressure Management: Strong ability to work under pressure, manage multiple topics and offers simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively both externally and internally.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, particularly with customers and suppliers.
  • Cross-Functional Management: Extensive experience in cross-functional management.
  • Autonomy: High level of autonomy in work.

Experience in managing ESS projects, particularly in executing EPC and service contracts, is a significant advantage.
