Business Development Manager (France / REMOTE)

Our client is a leading provider of cutting-edge physical access control solutions, offering innovative technologies such as mobile access, biometrics, and smart card solutions. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an ambitious End User Business Development Manager to join their dynamic European team.

The Role :

Reporting to the European Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities within enterprise-level accounts. Your role will also involve managing a portfolio of named end-user accounts, building strong relationships, and ensuring business growth across your region.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Build and develop a pipeline of new enterprise opportunities within Fortune 2000 companies.
  2. Manage and grow assigned named end-user accounts within the region.
  3. Drive project specification and work closely with internal teams to develop business.
  4. Travel extensively (approximately 60% of the time) to visit customers and attend industry events.
  5. Identify and close business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  6. Develop and execute strategic account plans to introduce innovative products and solutions.
  7. Provide training and support to consultants and specifiers as needed.
  8. Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs and trends.
  9. Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and association meetings.
  10. Collaborate across business areas to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
  11. Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities using CRM tools.
  12. Stay updated on competitive products and industry advancements.
  13. Prepare and submit forecasts and reports regularly.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Customer-first mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Native French speaker with excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Experience & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in new business development and/or account management.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience selling security solutions, particularly physical access control solutions, is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and cloud-based licensing models is desirable.
