We are looking for a Business Developer to accelerate our growth in the ecosystem of the HPC and Cloud Solutions. The role will be part of the newly created New Businesses Development group initiated by Viridien's Board, that focuses on developing new business initiatives, crafting strategies, driving revenue growth, and supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategic partnership activities.
In this customer-facing role, the Business Developer will be responsible for implementing sustainable commercial growth for the business across Europe and the UK. The emphasis will be on innovative business models, assessing the value of partnerships, and commercializing integrated solutions.
Our Business Developers play a pivotal role between multiple scientific, technical, and business communities with varied cultures and objectives. Their role consists of understanding and anticipating the market needs for computing (simulation, HPC, AI, cloud…) in our targeted verticals, and working closely with our technical experts and sales teams to build offers creating a unique value for these customers and for Viridien.
While the primary focus is to identify and nurture opportunities, our Business Developers are also regularly involved in later stages of the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Developer, your activity will mainly cover the following aspects:
- Identify Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and markets for AI and cloud solutions to generate new business opportunities.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Create, drive and qualify the funnel of leads to create opportunities that will be managed by the sales teams.
- Develop Partnerships: In collaboration with the Partnership manager, establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to enhance business growth and collaboration.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the new energy and cloud domain.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the covered products and services, including their features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Customized Solutions: Collaborate with technical teams to develop and propose tailored AI and cloud solutions that meet specific client requirements.
- Presentations: Create and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the value and capabilities of the offering.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, partnership manager and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
- Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote new energy and cloud solutions and build a network of industry contacts.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) preferably in Computer Science or a scientific domain.
Key Skills & Experiences
- A first experience in Business Development, with close proximity to High Performance Computing technologies.
- Success record in participating in the ramp-up of a new business in his/her vertical in the UK and/or France.
- Operational and execution skills in project management.
- Results-oriented.
