CDD·IE·18 mois Bac+5 / Master Centre de recherche de l'Institut Curie·Paris (France) according to the current grids
cancer single-cell omics transcriptomics epigenomics plasticity reprogramming
The hosting structure
The Institut Curie Research Center
Institut Curie is a major player in the research and fight against cancer. It consists of a Hospital Group and a Research Center of more than 1000 employees with a strong international representativeness.
The objective of the Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.
Laboratory
In an extremely dynamic environment, Isabelle Janoueix-Lerosey’s team is working on the biology of pediatric cancers, and particularly of Neuroblastoma. Our team is covering diverse aspects of fundamental research from the embryonic initiation of tumor development, to the mechanisms of tumor progression and metastases, going to the study of resistance to treatments, also by integrating tumor-microenvironment interactions.
To address all our challenging questions, we generate and explore a large quantity of omics data from high-quality technological platforms from the Institute. Based on innovative technologies, we produce bulk and single-cell data including mainly transcriptomics (RNA-seq, scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics) and epigenomics (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, scATAC-seq) or both (MultiOme).
Missions
The candidate will be in charge of:
The candidate will be supervised by the researchers and the permanent bioinformatic scientist of the team. She/he will benefit from daily exchanges with the PhD students and postdocs also analyzing their data, as well as with the wet lab scientists of our team. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to interact with the broader bioinformatics community at Institut Curie through Curie Bioinformatics Hub.
