BIM Coordinator

DesignAgency is looking for a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordinator for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects. The candidate should have experience with interior design and extensive knowledge of BIM. The BIM Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day development and coordination necessary for globally situated BIM users. The BIM Coordinator will work closely with the BIM Team to support the integrated design and production teams by developing curated 3D and 2D content in alignment with the organizational standards. The BIM Coordinator will also follow up on integrating required standards and best practices established by DesignAgency.

Role And Responsibilities

• Work with the BIM Department to support our project team members in following project and company BIM protocols.
• Assist with developing digital assets, asset libraries, and BIM management of BIMs.
• Report any model issues, areas of improvement, or required team training to the BIM Manager.
• Perform BIM coordination tasks, which include but are not limited to model auditing, ACC file management, model troubleshooting, and model maintenance.
• Create, alter, and coordinate BIM content that aligns with the design intent of each project.
• Assist with coordination and information exchange protocol with other disciplines.
• Provide assistance, coaching, and mentoring to all team members.
• Provide project-specific training (one-to-one sessions) as required.
• Contribute to the integration of BIM on both the organizational and project levels.
• Stay current with the latest BIM software, plugins, techniques, and methodologies.
• Demonstrate excellent time management, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Attend and contribute to BIM Committee sessions to review firm-wide initiatives, improvements, and developments.
  
  

• Collegial diploma or University undergraduate degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in BIM modeling, drafting, and coordination.
• Expertise with Autodesk Revit is required.
• Experience using ACC, Twinmotion, D5, and Dynamo is considered an asset.
• Autodesk Certification in Revit would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills are required for fast-paced projects.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
