Overview of the Department/Section

The Operations Department is responsible for managing the operations performed in Paris but also for monitoring the relationship with EOD EMEA as for the Hub and spoke process (Paris operations outsourced in London). The Operations Department is handling and keeping customers’ important documents. This department comprises 3 sub-departments:

  1. Business Operations Team
  2. Customer Team
  3. Quality Assurance Team

Main Purpose of the Role

Part of the Operations Department, the Business Operations Team is responsible for execution and verifications of various operations to ensure full compliance with the Banking Industry and regulatory and legal frameworks and to provide good service level to MUFG customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Officer for the daily operations concerning transfers (international and domestic), SEPA.
  2. Customer contact for daily operations & investigations.
  3. Facilitate client queries relating to Payment Processing and resolve in a timely manner in line with cut-off’s.
  4. Actively participate in new system testing (UAT) and scenario preparations when called upon, ensuring scripts encompass all eventualities and are relevant.
  5. Be a contact point for team members and other departments, resolving questions and providing accurate guidance.
  6. Ensure completion of expected processing by Payment Services, with accuracy, compliance to procedures and regulations, and within expected time frames.

Work Experience

  1. Banking first experience in a Back office role.
  2. Customer service contact.
  3. Experience of working in a fast-moving environment under time pressure whilst retaining strong attention to detail.

Skills and Experience

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  1. Knowledge of SWIFT message types (MT & XML) and routing of messages, standard ISO20022, CFONB160 & CFONB320.
  2. Knowledge of SEPA (SCT & SDD).
  3. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent communication (English & French, written and verbal skills).
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft products to Intermediate level (Word, Excel etc).

Education / Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent experience.
