Safety and Compliance Monitoring Manager (Malta-based)

Our client, a leading Maltese group of companies offering training, aircraft operations, maintenance, and storage management solutions to their clients, seeks a reliable and highly organized Safety and Compliance Monitoring Manager to join the team in Malta.

The role serves as the focal point for developing and maintaining the company's safety and compliance management systems, ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

1. Develop and oversee the safety and compliance management systems.
2. Perform risk assessments, monitor safety performance, and manage audit processes.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance with EASA and other EU / National frameworks.
4. Maintain and update operational and airworthiness manuals and management systems.
5. Facilitate training and competence evaluations for airworthiness management personnel.
6. Provide regular updates to the Safety Review Board and the Accountable Manager.

Skills Required :

1. Expertise in ICAO and European safety management standards.
2. Experience with safety investigation and risk assessment methodologies.
3. Strong auditing skills and understanding of aviation safety risks.
4. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
5. Proficiency in English.

Qualifications :

1. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the aeronautical industry, with at least 2 years in a safety management role.
2. Engineering degree in a relevant field or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education.
3. Knowledge of EU regulations (EU) No 1321 / 2014 and 748 / 2012.
