ASSITEJ New Voices scholarship is designed to support artistic and cultural exchange and collaboration at ASSITEJ events between international artists under 35 who are interested in theatre and performance for, with and by children and young people. The grant is designed to engage new people in the ASSITEJ community, supporting their networking and connecting beyond the event itself.
In 2025, Scènes d’enfance – ASSITEJ France, in partnership with Théâtre Massalia, will host the ASSITEJ artistic gathering entitled ‘Bright Generations – Générations Lumineuses’ from 23 to 30 March 2025. The programme includes 18 different shows and a professional exchange programme consisting of workshops, seminars, round tables and networking sessions. Between 400 and 600 international and French professionals are expected.
The ASSITEJ New Voices scholarship programme will be part of this event. There will also be two online seminars during the scholarship year, with the support of ASSITEJ International.
The organisers will invite 15 young theatre and performance professionals from among the candidates to participate in the programme; 5 of them will come from France, 10 from other regions of the world. This call is addressed to French speakers. The programme will focus on the inclusion of French speakers outside Europe and the working language of the selected group will be French. The age range will be between 20 and 35.
The organisers will provide accommodation (twin share), three meals a day, a workspace, a local facilitator, and a programme of events. They will also provide an event pass, show tickets and access to scheduled workshops and seminars. ASSITEJ International supports the travel of non-European participants with a grant of up to 700 EUR.
