InnoEnergy was established in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, as one of its first Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC). In 2025, the EIT and InnoEnergy entered into a new partnership, where they will continue collaborating on specific projects.

Background

As part of the Innovation Group, the Investment & Asset Management team drives the sourcing, development, growth, and monetisation of cutting-edge technologies and ventures aligned with InnoEnergy’s strategic vision. We are now seeking an Asset & Investment Manager, to be part of our Investment Team France, currently composed of a small but high-performing group.

The Role

You are part of a team of 6 people (4 Investment Managers, 1 Assistant and the Investment Director). You cover all the steps of the investment cycle: scouting, asset management, investing, de-risking/accelerating, exiting.

- Scouting: your mission is to identify and propose new early-stage start-ups to invest in.

- De-risking and accelerating (asset management): your mission is to mobilise our large ecosystem all over Europe to help the start-up to achieve roadmap milestones.

- Investing: your mission is to negotiate with the start-up’s investment conditions based on a roadmap defining the target to achieve in the future by the start-up (turn-over, business development, European extension, IP protection, team/recruitment, industrialisation, fund raising…). You design from scratch the support services to be provided to the ventures and manage their implementation.

- Exiting: when the start-up realises a certain level of maturity, you manage the exit, i.e. the sale of our shares.

You are an essential contributor to the venture’s strategy and to the achievement of their business cases. You liaise with all InnoEnergy staff all over Europe and with our European Ecosystem.

Requirements & skills

• 3-5 years of start-up or scale-up support and business development.
• You are service minded.
• You have a sharp business acumen and a relevant track record.
• Experience in working with entrepreneurs and start-ups’ business models.
• Fluency in English and French is a must.
• You possess excellent communication skills.
• You have a passion for innovation, cleantech and entrepreneurship.
• You are at ease in an international work setting, coping with ambiguity and tight deadlines.
