THE ROLE
The Data Office reports to the Chief Data Officer (CDO). This division comprises five distinct teams:
Data is an essential asset for tackling business challenges, meeting fundamental business needs and uncovering new business opportunities. To facilitate the implementation of digital initiatives, it is crucial to maintain a high level of data quality in order to reinforce confidence in this data. Numerous projects have been launched in various departments to monitor and understand data quality throughout its lifecycle, from initial collection to end-users. The main objective of the Data Ambition in 2024 is to stabilize and improve the integration of master data within all existing applications and enhance the quality of the Group's data.
Semarchy is a master data management tool for the CMA CGM ecosystem. This platform has made it possible to create several applications that centralize the company's data, such as information on ships, commercial partners (suppliers and customers) and the geographical repository. A reassessment of certain architectural decisions is underway to improve the flexibility of Semarchy's integration with all CMA CGM applications, and its reliability, notably through the use of standard functionalities integrated into the tool (retrofit).
