Analytical Scientist, Biologics – Mass Spectrometry Specialist

The Limoges site with a proven expertise in aseptic filling is currently our Center of Excellence in Biotechnology for European market focused on clinical activities (until phase 3). We are looking for an Analytical Scientist, Biologics – Mass Spectrometry Specialist to participate in Limoges growth!

The role:

1. Perform method development activities, validation or transfer activities.
2. Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and understand the reliability of results. Present results and planned experiments clearly and concisely both verbally and in written documents.
3. Author technical documents, such as protocols, test methods, reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures.
4. Review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness.
5. Maintain a strong awareness of scientific and technical literature relevant to expertise.
6. Train, coach or mentor other associate scientists and/or analysts of the team.
7. Collaborate on technical transfer and scale-up support with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Operations when needed.
8. Participate in client meetings offering technical support when required.
9. Suggest for his domain of expertise new innovative solutions to routine and complex problems.

The candidate:

1. Hands on experience daily operating and maintaining mass spectrometers, with a significant experience on Orbitrap system.
2. Proficient use of acquisition and analysis mass spectrometry software and mainly XCalibur and Chromeleon (Thermo). Experiences with others software will be appreciated (Analyst, Unifi, Empower, Biopharma Finder, Progenesis, etc.)
3. Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or closely related discipline with specific experience working on protein mass spectrometry.
4. Established track record of significant contributions as an individual technical expert as well as the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
5. Fluent in English (verbal and written).

This individual will develop analytical methods to support drug product formulations, characterization and testing of drug substances and drug.
