The Business Unit (BU) Fuel develops, designs, manufactures, and commercializes fuel assemblies and associated services for nuclear power plants. The BU is also responsible for the development of zirconium and its alloys.

Job description

The Fuel Business Unit (BU) of Framatome offers innovative safe fuels with high performance to worldwide utility customers. The BU scope includes the design, development, manufacturing and commercialization of fuel assemblies and the associated technologies.

Within the BU, the mission of the Contracts & Services Asia-Middle East-Africa (AMEA) platform is to manage the customer contracts signed with AMEA regions, with a team located in Lyon.

Main AMEA customers' contracts concern final Chinese customers but also other countries like South Africa/Japan/South Korea.

Contracts' scope can include the delivery of:

• Finished fuel assemblies,
• Components to be then assembled into fuel assemblies in China or in Kazakhstan,
• Other finished related products like rod clusters components assemblies or irradiation surveillance capsules,
• Production equipment and their spare parts,
• Related services.

The Fuel BU is looking for an experienced project manager, located in Lyon (France), to take charge of the execution of such contracts.

He/She is responsible for the following:

• Acting as Project and Contract manager for such contracts with the target to deliver products/services in the expected safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
• This includes the coordination of the internal team contributing to the project, the management of the interface to the customer, the management of the interface to the manufacturing plant, and to the main supplier(s).
• Managing the project schedule, with the support of the scheduling team.
• Managing the corresponding risks and opportunities.
• Applying the recommended project management methods, as part of the Operational Excellence initiative developed by Framatome.
• Reporting regularly the project progress to the stakeholders.
• Contributing to the offer team in charge to win additional contracts.
• Negotiating Variation Orders with the customer as needed.

Profile

Engineering background with a 5-10 years’ experience in industrial goods project management, preferably in the nuclear field.

Ability to lead a project, deal with versatile subjects (production, planning, quality, legal, transport, export control).

Contract management skills to deal with complex customers in complex overseas conditions.

Ability to motivate all stakeholders in the frame of the project management team, to listen to customer's needs while remaining strong on some discussions to protect Framatome interests.
