Job Title : Electrical Maintenance Technician

Reporting to : Facilities Manager

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the electrical infrastructure to ensure a safe working environment. Working within a small Facilities Team, reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will need to be able to work independently, have good communication skills and be IT literate. The role will require you to manage your time effectively to work through reactive and planned maintenance tasks and respond to emergency breakdowns. In addition, you will have budgetary control over ordering electrical materials and critical spares to minimise down time. There may be occasions when flexible working hours are necessary to undertake tasks that require an early start or a late finish, including site attendance at a weekend.

Desired Experience

• Commercial Building Maintenance
• AHU’s, FCU’s, Lighting repairs
• Awareness of Trend Building management systems
• Awareness of Fan coil system controls – Honeywell
• Emergency Lighting Testing
• Fault investigation and rectification on Production CNC machine breakdowns

PLC Controllers – Basic Knowledge

• Inverters
• Interlock systems
• Contactor & Relays
• Installation works

LV Distribution systems – single and three phase

• Conduit, Trunking and Tray work
• Running IT Data cables & testing
• Internal & External Lighting and controls systems

Assisting with General Factory Maintenance

• Dismantle and install furniture as required
• Dismantle and re-install partition to gain access, for example machine moves
• Make minor plumbing repairs, as necessary
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Qualifications

• Time Served Electrical Apprenticeship
• City & Guilds Electrical Installations part 1&2
• City & Guilds, ONC or HNC
• City & Guilds 18th edition
• City & Guilds 2391 (Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Verification of Electrical Installations)
