We are currently recruiting for a Country Manager for France for a luxury British brand to lead their strategic growth in their largest EU market. Based in Paris, with initial training in London, you’ll focus on expanding their luxury and premium channels. You’ll manage a dynamic team to drive sales, create market growth strategies, and ensure their brand reaches its full potential. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term success for their innovative and cherished products. As their Country Manager, you’ll utilise your leadership skills and market expertise to grow their presence in France. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage key accounts, and identify new business opportunities. You will be crucial in maintaining their premium positioning and ensuring smooth operations.

They are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to take full ownership of the French market, the largest territory in the EU for their company. As Country Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Europe and focus on growing their brand in luxury and premium channels. Your goal is to build the brand for long-term success, drive sales, and create a market growth strategy aligned with their EU growth expectations. This role is based in Paris with initial training in London and requires travel between France and the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with the Head of Europe to create and implement the annual growth strategy.
  2. Provide regular updates on strategic performance to the Head of EU Sales and the Leadership Team.
  3. Oversee seasonal product forecasting.
  4. Establish and monitor annual budgets in line with overall financial plans.
  5. Inspire, mentor, and recruit team members through effective leadership.
  6. Set clear objectives and targets for the team and agents.
  7. Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities with a strategic mindset.
  8. Plan and execute seasonal launch events within France.
  9. Ensure supply decisions for new accounts align with the brand’s luxury image.
  10. Support and manage your team to maintain clear communication and effective teamwork.
  11. Work closely with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate order processing and customer communication.
  12. Coordinate with credit control on financial matters.
  13. Liaise with the logistics team to guarantee accurate and efficient order deliveries.
  14. Conduct regular meetings to discuss reports and market intelligence.
  15. Ensure their presence in distribution points that reflect our premium positioning.
  16. Work collaboratively with teams in the UK, ROW, USA, and CN to share best practices.
  17. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product development or improvement.
  18. Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and marketing developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Prior senior-level experience leading an account management team.
  2. Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  3. Confident public speaker capable of leading meetings with senior teams.
  4. Proven experience managing small to medium-sized teams.
  5. Demonstrated success in growing the French market and developing strategic market entry plans.
  6. Proficient in creating and executing market growth strategies.
  7. High accuracy and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  9. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Collaborative approach with significant face-to-face interaction.
  11. Creative, strategic, and able to influence across all areas of the business and management levels.
  12. Experience within a luxury brand to understand premium positioning is highly desirable.
  13. Passionate about our brand and products.
  14. Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach.
  15. Experience with P&L management and tracking project budgets is beneficial.
  16. Ability to manage accounts with a clear understanding of the wider business context, ensuring effective internal communication.
