Ag Mechanic Assistant

Heritage Co-op is hiring a full-time Ag Mechanic Assistant to work out of our Brandon Agro location.

What you’ll do:

The Ag Mechanic Apprentice is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance work on Ag equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.
• Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts.
• Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.
• Complete work orders and help the shop mechanic.
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety standards, as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees.

Who you are:

• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• You have 1-3 years of mechanical experience in agricultural mechanics, heavy-duty mechanics, or diesel mechanics.
• You have a Class 5 driver’s license.
• Class 1/Class 3 is considered an asset but not essential.
• You may be required to work longer hours, especially during the busy season.
• Ability to commute/relocate (8 miles east of Brandon or 2 miles west of Douglas).
