Role Overview:
The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of accounts, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships with vendors and customers. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to meeting sales targets and enhancing customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet monthly and annual gross profit (GP) targets.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of all assigned accounts and create growth plans.
- Identify and research new prospects in key growth markets and technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to enhance efficiency.
- Support vendor and commercially-led initiatives as required.
- Engage with all relevant training and educational opportunities.
- Work with management to achieve personal and professional goals.
- Create and implement business plans aligned with company strategy.
- Maintain a structured and organised approach to account management.
- Meet all role-specific metrics and KPIs.
- Clearly communicate the company’s value proposition.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or business development within the technology sector.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise technology solutions including server, storage, and infrastructure.
- Proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Goal-oriented and motivated by achieving sales success.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
