Account Executive | Commercial Insurance

Account Executive | Commercial and Corporate

Are you a diligent individual, capable of taking ownership of our client needs and finding solutions that ensure their protection? Do you have the ability to adapt your communication effectively across diverse clientele, including retailers, manufacturers, property owners, construction to transportation companies?

GSK Insurance Brokers are seeking an experienced Account Executive who will interact directly with the Senior Account Manager and be a part of our highly respected tight-knit team who work closely together to achieve exceptional outcomes for our loyal clients and have fun while we do it!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a portfolio of client accounts, focusing on relationship building and retention.
  • Participate in insurance policy pre-renewal, renewal and post-renewal activities including drafting quotations, endorsements, certificates of currency, cancellations, creating renewal reports.
  • Convert new business opportunities through effective negotiation of competitive terms and strong client engagement.
  • Prepare, lodge, and invoice insurance policies in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Attend client meetings and work on tender processes, client renewals and other insurance broking duties.
  • Stay informed on claims-related matters, collaborating with the claims team to negotiate equitable claims settlements.
  • Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships with Senior Brokers, Underwriters, Senior Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be a Tier 1 qualified insurance broker with at least 2 years insurance broking experience who possesses:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively without supervision.
  • Can manage client relationships and build rapport with a wide variety of clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of insurance policies (business pack, public liability, plant and heavy motor policies).
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office, broking systems and business insurance systems.
