The Account Executive is a sales position responsible for developing, qualifying, and closing new business in Hospitality, Meeting/Venue Space, Food & Beverage, DMC, or Hotel/Resort sectors.
Responsibilities:
Identify business opportunities by researching and analyzing sales prospects.
Establish new accounts through cold calls and face-to-face interactions; follow up on qualified referrals to expand the sales territory.
Maintain high levels of customer service standards.
Build rapport with potential customers through effective communication and product knowledge to generate revenue opportunities.
Contact clients to ensure satisfaction and increase sales through cross-selling and up-selling.
Highlight product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss payment terms, and prepare sales order forms.
Meet personal and company goals while collaborating with other team members.
Keep management informed by submitting activity reports, weekly plans of action, and monthly territory analysis.
Stay current on product knowledge and consumer preferences.
Gather information on pricing and new products to monitor completion.
Resolve customer issues to ensure positive feedback and improve business relationships.
Maintain quality of service by adhering to organizational standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in the Event Rental, DMC, Catering Sales, Event Management, Hotel/Resort Group, Venue Space Sales, or Trade Show Sales industries. Outside sales experience from other industries will be considered.
