What's your role?

You will be part of our Product Compliance team, a group of dedicated professionals. Together, you will have an excellent opportunity to contribute to sustainable practices and enhance product safety, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations as a fundamental aspect of the job in a dynamic work environment. In this role, you will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, legal and sales with an opportunity to influence multiple aspects of the business. You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Compliance.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Guide Our R&D Teams: Ensure all products comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the regions where they are sold. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our high standards.
2. Develop and Implement Compliance Guidelines: Create and update internal instructions to achieve and maintain compliance. Stay ahead of changes in regulations by building networks with peers and information sources both internally and externally.
3. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with product compliance. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure ongoing compliance and support the organization in addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
4. Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, legal and sales teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development and operations. Your collaboration will ensure seamless compliance throughout the organization.
5. Train and Educate: Provide training to employees and stakeholders on compliance requirements and best practices. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization through effective education and engagement.

What will you bring?

1. A solid understanding of the regulatory environment, including laws, regulations, and standards relevant to Vaisala’s applications and products. Knowledge of international regulations is essential.
2. Experience in EMC and RF related regulations and approvals is a plus.
3. An active drive to continuously learn and develop oneself on these topics, as the world of compliance is ever-changing.
4. Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable requirements for R&D and company processes and practices.
5. Fluent and influential verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate compliance requirements to various stakeholders, including senior management. Ability to liaise effectively with certification houses, standardization groups, and regulatory bodies.
6. The ability to identify compliance issues and develop effective solutions to address them. This includes creating and communicating related development plans.
7. A keen eye for detail to ensure all aspects of product compliance are thoroughly checked and documented.
8. Proficiency in English.

Competitive Compensation: €61,440 - €92,160 annually. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and alignment with industry standards and local market factors.
