Position Summary

Senior leader responsible for leading Icon inc partnership model to develop and build sustainable and successful partnership with Meyer Turku for long term Icon Class vessels and beyond.

  1. He/she will be responsible for leading the key processes of our yard relations and developing our future partnership models and ways of working.
  2. He/she will be expected to establish a core team to support and collaborate closely with the portfolio & strategy leadership team and our senior project leaders.
  3. He/she will push boundaries to create value through improving collaboration, processes and efficiencies in our ways leading our partnerships.
  4. He/she will also take a key role in developing internal and external capabilities that supports our strategic direction.
  5. He/she will report to and work together with VP of Newbuilding and Innovation, in delivering on the strategic ambitions and promises for the department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversees Icon inc program from RCG perspective and collaborating closely with the yard.
  • Establishes a core team including external consultancy support as needed to drive our goals and interest as part of developing a long term sustainable plan for Meyer Turku.
  • Develops and oversees processes allowing transformation and improvements together with our key shipyard partners and ensures these support our strategic ambitions.
  • Develops jointly with portfolio team such activities which allow to capitalize the combined knowledge that we have together.
  • Supports development and implementation of our yard relations strategy for the corporation in close collaboration with NB senior colleagues.
  • Consistently scans the world for new ideas and opportunities to stay abreast of new developments, ensuring that RCG maximizes opportunities for partnering the most innovative way and creating a competitive advantage.
  • Actively stay abreast of shipbuilding landscape and industry developments to advise NB senior leadership on consequences as well as solutions.
  • Actively participates in overall European team oversight and helps driving a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Partner proactively with Portfolio and Project management teams to ensure that we establish a collaborative framework for managing our shipyard partnerships.
  • Participates in managing our oversight processes with shipyard partners and related stakeholders.
  • Restructuring and unifying our international shipyard relation functions and processes, and developing these continuously to meet future expectations.
  • Leading a diverse team of professionals.
  • Active leader of Partnerships Team.

Financial Responsibilities

Responsible for multi-billion-dollar NB projects as a part of European Leadership team.

Qualifications

M. Sc. in engineering and/or business or equal/higher education with minimum of 10-15 years of leadership experience, preferably in the shipbuilding industry (passenger ships).
