We are seeking two CONFIGURATION ENGINEER to join our development team in Design and Engineering Support and Development in Hämeenlinna. We are looking for two persons in Tampere and two in Hämeenlinna. In this role, you will have approximately 50% on-site work requirements.

Being successful in this role, you need a strong background understanding large vehicle configurations. The main responsibility is to plan and identify configurations, managing changes together with internal stakeholders. System Engineering process milestone audits and verifications are the responsibility of configuration engineers, as is configuration status accounting to Patria Portfolio and Project management. In this role, you are part of the vehicle development team, working together with many internal and external stakeholders throughout the vehicle E2E lifespan.

The ideal candidate can manage multiple issues at the same time. The Configuration Engineer is a social role where you discuss with multiple stakeholders simultaneously running official configuration management processes. You need to train the process to the internal stakeholders and control the product configuration quality. Social skills and independence are key factors to be successful.

Key Responsibilities:

Configuration management and reporting activities throughout the product lifecycle including:

1. Configuration planning
2. Configuration identification
3. Change Control
4. Configuration status accounting
5. Configuration verification and audits
6. Interaction activities with internal and external stakeholders
7. Product baseline management

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
2. Has a history with configuration management.
3. Fluent in English and Finnish.
4. Team player with excellent organization skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

1. Has worked with ISO9001 and derived standards e.g. ISO10007, ACMP2100.
2. Understanding of Vehicle manufacturing or electronic systems.
3. Product Lifecycle Management.

We are not looking for an expert in one technical area, but rather a generalist.
