Workshop Technician - Small components

Ryanair Engineering delivered by SIAM is one of six facilities in Europe that provide Heavy Maintenance services to the Ryanair fleet. At Seville’s site, we are responsible for conducting extensive base maintenance checks on Ryanair’s fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. SIAM SL (Spanish International Aircraft Maintenance) have an exciting opportunity for entry-level and experienced professionals to join our dedicated team in our component workshops.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Learning how to and carrying out inspections/repairs/tests on small aircraft components such as windows, handrails, etc. by using a variety of skills including riveting and metal forming, mechanical repairs, electrical checks, and assembly of components.
2. Assisting with other zones as and when required.
3. Maintaining a high standard of work in all tasks.
4. Completing the appropriate documentation.
5. Complying with all company procedures, policies, regulations, and MOE.
6. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
7. Ensuring the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

Mandatory (candidates not meeting these requirements will not be considered):

1. Related relevant education or previous experience in the aircraft industry or equivalent (accredited).
2. Ability to fully understand written technical English and basic communication skills in the English language.
3. Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
4. Willingness to work shifts.
5. Availability to travel abroad to different Ryanair bases for training and experience-gaining purposes.
6. Basic user of MS Office package and basic IT tools.
7. Great teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

1. At least 2 years of component maintenance experience within a Part 145 organization.
2. High level of spoken and written English communication skills.
3. Proven organizational skills.

Location: Seville
