JUNIOR EDITORIAL COORDINATOR

OFFICE BASED MADRID

The Report Company specializes in the production of special country reports with a key focus on business and investment that are distributed with a number of international newspapers such as The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Newsweek, Die Welt, The Economic Observer in China and more.

As our in-house junior editorial coordinator, you’ll report directly to our CEO, and work on various country branding campaigns featuring government and business leaders. You will aspire to support your field colleagues with the most relevant research and interview questions as well as assist writing the best country report for any given country and be thrilled at the possibility to be a key driver of our editorial department from day one.

Here’s your chance to assist and write features about world leaders, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, CEOs of the most representative companies, in reports that are published in the most prestigious international media.

Be an integral part of the production process…

This position allows you to learn all about the production process and the relevant stakeholders you need to coordinate to make a publication a reality. You will have the opportunity to bring your managerial flair and organization skills to this area of your position.

Use your love of writing, research and knowledge of international affairs on a daily basis.

Here’s your chance to shine in a small company writing articles, interview topics, researching interesting countries and put this to use. You will learn how to use your research skills to identify commercial opportunities for the company and support your colleagues in business development also.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the entire report production process, ensuring timely delivery and smooth workflow.
  • Research, prepare, and edit interview questions for meetings with global leaders.
  • Oversee the writing and editing of articles, ensuring they meet publication standards.
  • Liaise with freelance writers and ensure they are briefed and on track.
  • Collaborate with designers and field teams to finalize content and meet media deadlines.
  • Proofread and review all materials, ensuring accuracy and readiness for publication.

Required skills:

  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and media lead times.
  • Coordinate several different stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and ability to flag problems.
  • Identify and establish relationships with new writers specialized in certain topics / areas of the world.
  • A knack for identifying international developments that could lead to the production of a new feature in a high-profile newspaper.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Editing and proofing skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of international affairs and an interest in business.
  • UK / EU / US / Schengen passport.
