What will you do

Join our team and drive our operational strategy in a fast-moving environment. As VP Operations you will be responsible for building and leading a centralized, scalable operations function that supports multiple financial products, including lending, treasury, credit cards, and cash management.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Operational Strategy Development : Design and implement a comprehensive operating model that aligns with re : cap's mission and business objectives, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
  2. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation across all departments to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. This includes uniting operational processes currently spread across multiple teams (operations, finance, and product) such as underwriting, monitoring / portfolio management, KYC & AML compliance, payment operations, and partner management.
  3. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor the underwriting and portfolio management teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Develop a structure for the new operations team to ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
  4. Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate with key teams, including sales, product, engineering, growth, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective execution of operational initiatives. Support market and product expansion initiatives. Engage with stakeholders, including founders, board members, and external partners, to communicate operational strategies and performance outcomes.
  5. Performance Metrics : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, drive accountability, and facilitate continuous improvement.
  6. Technology Integration : Lead the integration of cutting-edge technologies and automation solutions to streamline operations, optimize workflows, and improve efficiency across all teams. This includes enabling service providers of the new financing structure to take over processes related to payment execution and cash flow management.
  7. Risk Management : Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Who we are looking for

8+ years in operations roles within fintech or financial services, managing diversified portfolios (lending, payments, treasury, credit cards).

You have 4+ years of leadership experience in a fast-growing environment, fostering data-driven decision-making & scaling operations.

Strong operational excellence and process optimization abilities.

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (KYC, AML).

Data-driven decision-making using KPIs and analytics.

Crisis management and problem-solving skills.

Tech-savvy with a focus on automation and integration.

Proactive and adaptable in fast-changing environments.

Strong communicator and influencer among diverse stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.

Customer-centric approach ensuring excellent outcomes.

Resilient and execution-focused under pressure.

Experience in cross-border payments and international regulations is a plus.

Exposure to banking-as-a-service (BaaS) or embedded finance models is a plus.

Background in private credit, structured finance, or liquidity management is a plus.

Fluent in English; German is a plus.
