Visual Art & Media Technician (Part-time)

Reports to: Assistant Director - Visual and Performing Arts

Location: Crewe

Salary: up to £24,000 full time equivalent, this will be pro-rata’d

Type: 15 hours per week

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and inspiring Technician to support in the provision of a quality support service for learners, visitors, customers, and staff.

Main Duties:

1. The preparation, storage, and maintenance of materials and equipment within the Curriculum Area
2. Ensuring safe working practices in accordance with Health and Safety legislation via student demonstrations
3. Carry out risk assessments for technical activities
4. Promoting the welfare of children and young people

Requirements:

1. GCSE Grade C (4/5) Maths and English
2. Experience of working in a Visual Arts environment (desirable)
3. Excellent organisational skills
4. Able to pass an enhanced DBS check
