We are a leading multinational company in the infrastructure sector based in Madrid that is currently looking for a Senior Business Development Manager.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our Data Center Business Development and Investment Department. This role is critical in discovering potential opportunities in the market to develop the global Data Center Strategy of the company. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities to develop Data Center Projects, analyze and structure the potential investment and should the investment committee approve the potential project, proceed to the closing of the transaction.

Responsibilities :

1. Opportunity Research:
2. Coordination with Sales & Strategy Department and Mission Critical Infrastructure Department in the definition of the strategy for each market.
3. Global outreach focused on markets with local presence.
4. Establish relationship with agents in the local markets to identify relevant opportunities ahead of the market.
5. Negotiation of exclusivity arrangements.
6. Analysis of the Initiative:
7. Extensive Due Diligence of the potential opportunity, including sessions with the potential seller/partner.
8. Coordination of technical, financial and legal teams within Iridium.
9. Involvement in the selection and coordination of advisors.
10. Structuring of the potential investment and commercial partnerships.
11. Preparation and review of the relevant transaction documentation (NBO, BO, SPA..).
12. Presentation of the opportunity to the relevant internal committees for approval (including preparation of relevant materials).
13. Commercial and Financial closing of the transaction:
14. Definition of the final terms and structure of the transaction.
15. Serve as the primary liaison in the negotiation of the commercial terms.
16. Arrange and coordinate with different teams the deal investment.
17. Ensure an agile and smooth transition period with Mission Critical Infrastructure Department.

Required Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Excellent project management skills, and relevant experience with complex projects.
3. Experience with Financial models and understanding of investment strategies and parameters.
4. Strong understanding of the real estate market, the energy sector and regulatory environments in Spain and the EU.
5. International experience in different markets, especially within the EU.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a special focus on relevant experience dealing with the public sector.
7. Ability to establish a strategic vision but at the same time with great flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Experience in data center or critical infrastructure projects.
2. Familiarity with international real estate, energy and regulatory standards, especially within the EU.

This role represents a senior-level leadership position, providing strategic oversight and ensuring there is a healthy project pipeline supporting the successful delivery of data center global strategy of the Company.
