The candidate will be welcomed within the Vendor management unit, which is a transversal area within Telefónica Global Solutions, in charge of managing the end-to-end relation with our partners/providers, both on the economic level and strategic discussions, as well as by giving support to the operational areas and business units.

Mission

Being a Vendor Manager you will be responsible and accountable for building strategy, engagement, cost of sale budget and economic targets associated of the vendors under your responsibility. You will be managing some vendors from regions such as APAC and Eastern Europe, based in Madrid.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a relationship with the vendors assigned.
  • Full ownership of cost of sale budget and efficiencies control.
  • Build and execute the efficiency plan.
  • Transversal activity for key customer in your region (build new products with vendors, new business opportunities, quality assurance and validation of new business).
  • Support other areas within Telefónica Global Solutions in communication with vendors to ensure smooth operations to serve our customers (commercial, service delivery, service assurance).
  • Create and maintain an overall action plan (incl. strategic, economic, operational activities) for each Vendor.
  • Support the Vendor Strategy & Agreements Unit in the negotiation of agreements of existing vendors and onboarding new ones.
  • Follow the evolution of the business (New demand, cancelations)
  • Contribute to our processes and tools evolution.

  • Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills: articulate, confident, and able to build relationships and communicate at multiple levels in a matrix management environment across diverse countries and cultures.
  • Good decision maker, goal oriented professional, flexible, proactive, positive minded.
  • Budget management
  • Excellent written and oral skills and a confident presenter.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Advanced Excel, Power Point, Word)

Qualifications, Training & Experience:

  • University Degree (Engineering, Telecoms…).
  • Around 6 yearsexperience in Telcos or Vendors.
  • Spanish and English, high level spoken and written. Chinese will be appreciated.
  • High knowledge of Global Telco.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Data analyzing skills are beneficiary.
