They are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer in Barcelona, to be part of their Data Science & Analytics team, which specializes in developing and implementing cutting-edge AI, ML, and data science solutions.

Tasks

1. Design and develop robust database and machine learning (ML) architectures to manage and process large data volumes effectively and operationalize complex ML models.
2. Develop and optimize automated data pipelines using SQL and Python, ensuring seamless integration of data from diverse sources.
3. Create and maintain back-end integrations between BI tools and data sources to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, code using AWS and CI/CD pipelines, and support AI, ML, and analytics solutions.
4. Lead and contribute to an Agile team environment, mentoring and training team members to foster professional growth and collaboration.

Requirements

1. Full professional level of English.
2. Degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
3. 4+ years of hands-on experience in data management technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, and Snowflake.
4. Proficiency in advanced SQL coding and data modeling for system integration and optimization.
5. Experience developing with Python or PySpark for ML processing, data analysis, and automation.
6. Skilled in creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
7. Strong ability to write SQL queries to investigate source data and troubleshoot data-related issues.
8. Working knowledge of cloud data technologies and architecture; Big Data tools and technologies, such as Spark, and AWS EMR; building CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
9. A critical thinker, with a natural curiosity for learning, and a passion for solving complex problems.
10. A highly analytical and organized individual who excels at managing competing priorities independently.
11. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with strong time management and structured development practices.
