Treasury Director. Multinational company. Bilbao

We are looking for a Treasury Director based in Bilbao. Reporting to the VP Corporate Finance, the Treasury Director will lead the Treasury function, defining the treasury and financing long-term strategy as well as the short-term goals.

This is an exciting role for a treasury senior professional to lead a team of two treasury professionals and manage projects related to cash management, funding, risk management, and bank relationships.

• Lead a team of two treasury professionals, coaching them and guiding their development.
• Cash and Liquidity Management, ensuring liquidity requirements are met and strategies to optimize cash balances, investments, and cash concentration structures are in place.
• Risk Management:
• Evaluate financial risks and develop mitigating strategies, including foreign exchange or interest rate hedges as well as other derivatives.
• Implement risk hedging strategies to protect the company from adverse market fluctuations.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, negotiating favorable terms and services.
• Oversee global banking services, proposing improvements in treasury technology solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and internal treasury policies.
• Prepare and present insightful financial reports to senior management to support decision-making.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, developing and maintaining financial models to optimize capital structure and funding.
• Knowledge and experience with traditional payment networks (SWIFT, ACH, RTP) along with funds acquisition from credit card and debit card flows.
• Knowledge and experience with capital structuring (Debt and Equity) and letter of credit management.
