The Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) CNIC has been conceived to develop research of excellence, competitive and of international relevance in relation to cardiovascular diseases. The CNIC has a research center of 24,000 m2, located in Madrid, with more than 6,000 m2 for laboratories equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment.

Functions

• To implement databases to structure the clinical information of large cohorts of individuals following the standards in data models (i.e. OMOP).
• To implement front-end applications to visualize and mine the information collected in large cohort databases.

The training program in AI and Big Data for Cardiovascular Health (cardiotrAIning) will involve theoretical and practical courses by prominent researchers in the field, placements in national and international collaborating institutions and the work in a research line related to the use of AI to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of CV disease.

This grant/contract is funded by the European NextGenerationEU funds in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan through the Talent Attraction and Retention Programs initiative.

Mandatory Requirements:

• To hold a degree in Computer Engineering or similar discipline.
• At least two years of experience in the development of software applications.

Valuable Requirements:

• Master's degree in Bioinformatics or similar discipline.
• Experience in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
• Experience working in a high-performance computing cluster.
• Experience developing front-end frameworks.

Recruitment Plan:

The RESOLUTION OF THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR PUBLIC FUNCTION APPROVING THE COMMON ACTION CRITERIA FOR THE RECRUITMENT PROCESSES IN THE STATE PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES of April 11, 2022, establishes the recruitment system as a merit-based recruitment system (concurso) including a personal interview.

At least the 3 candidates with the highest score, as long as they reach the minimum of 50 points as a sum of criteria (C1‐C4) will be interviewed. The candidate with the highest score will be hired given the total score (C1-C5) is higher than 65 points.
