Senior Cloud Engineer at Savana

Major Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable Cloud infrastructure for Savana’s software products and services.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle providing solutions from the infrastructure side (CI / CD / Staging / Preproduction environments) and automate the work of development teams and software release processes with fully managed Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments.
• Ensure that Savana’s cloud infrastructure meets business requirements and the principles of well-architected frameworks, including security, performance, reliability, and compliance aspects.
• Design and plan Cloud infrastructure architecture, especially regarding security and multi-tenant environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, following Agile principles and best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Cloud infrastructure to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or other incidents.
• Conduct cost analysis and optimize Cloud resources to minimize expenses.
• Operate according to Savana’s Security Policies, Procedures, and Manuals.
• Report any incidents or improvement proposals.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

• Academic background in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar role, working with cloud infrastructure systems. Working knowledge of AWS is a plus.
• Good understanding of modern software architectures: Microservices / DDD.
• Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Advanced coding skills in Python / BASH.
• Strong knowledge of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Advanced networking and computer security knowledge.
• Experience working under SCRUM / Agile methodologies.
• Additional skills: Assertive, pragmatic, fast learner - English B2+.

Nice to have:

• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with MLOps tools and processes.
