Summary : As an HCL Digital Experience (DX) Solution Architect you will work closely with customers to help them design, implement, and maintain their digital experience solutions built on the HCL Digital Experience platform (a.k.a. WebSphere Portal and Web Content Management). You will leverage your experiences in the field as well as close ties to the product development labs to bring deep expertise to help customers solve problems and gain new business value from the HCL Digital Experience platform. You will also contribute to the development of POCs, services assets and offerings that differentiate HCLSoftware from the competition and deliver demonstrable return on investment for our clients.

This role is customer-facing and will involve some amount of travel. You will work closely with the rest of the HCLSoftware Engineering and Go to Market teams and will have the opportunity to contribute your perspective to the product planning and development process.

Experience : The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience and a demonstrated track record working with the HCL Digital Experience platform (or WebSphere Portal and Web Content Management).

Responsibilities :

• Apply subject matter expertise to develop offerings to complement and extend the HCL Digital Experience platform
• Advise customers, partners and colleagues to successfully adopt the technology portfolio and adhere to proven best practices
• Create customized demo assets
• Install, configure and optimize HCL DX software products as needed by the customer
• Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of delivering customer solutions
• Transfer customer engagement learnings to the product management team
• Maintain ongoing product and industry knowledge including partner and competitor products
• Provide technical and subject matter expertise to help win sales opportunities

Required :

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with HCL WebSphere Portal and Web Content Management products including experience with current versions (v8.5 and later)
• Experience as a Solution Architect or Application Architect designing portal-based applications and integrations with external systems
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to influence customers and co-workers
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and comfortable with short deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• English : Fluent

Additional Desired Skills :

• Experience installing, deploying, troubleshooting, and administering HCL DX / WebSphere Portal including configuring integrations with database, LDAP, and other backend application services
• Experience designing and implementing WCM templates, page components, workflows, and content
• Expertise in performance testing, analysis, and tuning for Portal and WCM
• Ability to program in Java and experience with the JSR 286 portlet specification
• Experience developing custom portal themes
• Hands-on web development experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as knowledge of modern techniques and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue, especially on the HCL DX platform.
• Experience working with APIs including both SOAP and REST based web services
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise class solutions on public cloud platforms including Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with container and container orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and using DevOps systems to automate the build, testing, and deployment of software.

Compensation :

• Base salary, plus bonus
