We're looking for a talented professional to join our Data & AI group and help reshape the way we categorize the content of The Wall Street Journal and other media content. As a Taxonomy Manager, you will collaborate in designing, implementing, and evaluating a taxonomy system that fits the unique content of our publications. You'll work with our Editorial, Product and Engineering teams to ensure it fits our business needs. Together with a dedicated team of Data Scientists, you will support the development of the content categorization models tailored to the taxonomy. The ultimate aim is to build a taxonomy framework that is sustainable, adaptable, and beneficial to our Newsroom today and in the future.
We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience in taxonomy structures and can clearly communicate the benefits and impacts of any proposed change. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across different teams within a large organization will be essential. You should be comfortable advocating for new processes and gaining support from diverse groups. You will report to the Director, Extraction.
