We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager Food Ingredients to sell Food Ingredients to the Food Industry in Spain. The position will be office-based in Madrid or Barcelona, with the possibility of 5 days per month of home office.

Our client is an international Ingredients distributor. You should have at least 5 years of sales experience with Food Ingredients or non-FMCG products.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the expansion of business with existing customers.
2. Identify and explore new markets and customers in the food market in Spain.
3. Knowledge of industrial food customers in Spain.
4. Possess technical and commercial knowledge of cereals in all their forms (grains, flours, flakes, etc.).
5. Manage customer and supplier relationships, establishing and maintaining strong connections.
6. Identify opportunities in the product portfolio and supplement missing product/solution offerings.
7. Conduct in-depth market analyses to understand supplier and customer needs, assess competitive landscapes, and identify new opportunities.
8. Act as Product Manager for various product ranges and/or suppliers, taking responsibility for the relationship and purchases with them.
9. Negotiate with suppliers.

Requirements

1. Degree in Food Technology or Food Chemistry (Must have).
2. Ability to solve technological problems and a passion for food product development.
3. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
4. High willingness to travel.
5. Very organized, reliable, and positive thinking.
6. Very good knowledge of Spanish and English (fluent in spoken and written) (Must have).
7. Valid driving license (Must have).
