As Sr. Manager, Global Indirect Taxes, you'll participate in successfully rolling out the global strategy, guidelines, and policies of the Indirect Tax Function, specifically regarding compliance and core finance processes, advice, management of risks and opportunities, issue resolution, and audits.
You will also assist the Group Head of Indirect Taxes in successfully contributing to set and maintain standard / global indirect tax aspects in SAP and related systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Concur, Blackline, etc.) and identify and deploy Tax Technology solutions (e.g., tax engine, e-invoicing, real-time reporting, etc.).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effective partnering with tier 2 stakeholders (e.g., FRA, IT, procurement, and Tax) at the global, regional, and local level to ensure high quality, timely, and compliant Indirect Tax services.
- Assisting in rolling out the global strategy, guidelines, and policies of the Indirect Tax Function, specifically regarding compliance and core finance processes, advice, management of risks and opportunities, issue resolution, and audits.
- Overseeing the adequacy and execution of Indirect Tax processes globally, setting direction and acting as the overall subject matter expert for tax compliance, advice, risk management, issue resolution, and audit management.
- Participating in tax system design (e.g., SAP, Concur, SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc.), maintenance, and implementation to ensure compliance, enhance efficiency, and minimize expense.
- Monitoring changes to rules and regulations to assist in defining the guidelines and policies while working in close collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Assisting in all efforts to ensure an effective and aligned Indirect Tax control framework is established and rolled out across the Sandoz organization, controls are executed, and issues and audit points are monitored, and action plans established.
- Advising global functions such as M&A, BD&L, STO, Development, or any concerned function on Indirect Tax-related questions and formalities affecting strategic projects, supply chain, audits, litigations.
Additionally, you will:
- Participate in the preparation and development of a global Indirect Tax training that will secure an Indirect Tax "sensitization" of business processes.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Master's degree in economics, accounting, law, or a similar major, preferably with additional qualifications (certified tax advisor or chartered accountant).
