Important German multinational waterproofing manufacturer is looking for a Software Engineer to participate in the support, development, and rollout of QAD systems and modules related to company international projects, based on business needs. The role is also part of the local company IT team, assisting in systems support and local project implementation.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Helpdesk and support for IT systems at local and corporate levels.
• Development and implementation of new functions and modules.
• Rollout of QAD system to additional sites.
• Technical maintenance of the IT infrastructure.
• Continuous improvement of the system and applications.
• Enhancement of technical and functional knowledge of the team.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in QAD ERP environments.
• Solid understanding of QAD Enterprise Edition functionality.
• Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing companies.
• Good communication skills, teamwork, and leadership.
• Good English level; any additional language is an asset.
• Experience in an international environment.
• Highly engaged in work; able to work flexible hours as appropriate, with no time constraints.
• Able to coordinate time and priorities and handle scheduling conflicts.
• Able to document, investigate, analyze, summarize, and troubleshoot business processes in functional specification and configuration documents.
• Project management oriented.
• Able to work in a pressure environment.
• Willingness to travel (country, Europe, and worldwide) when required.

Technical Knowledge / Additional Characteristics:

• Technical knowledge in QAD infrastructure is appreciated.
• Proficiency in Progress 4GL RDBMS and programming language / SQL is important.
• Basic administration of Linux OS / shell scripting is welcome.
• Knowledge in other IT fields or systems is also interesting (RF environments, interoperability, business intelligence, etc.). Knowledge of Perl, C, C++, and Java are assets.
• Familiarity with specific QAD modules like EAM, Cebos, WMS, Enhance Controls, Automation Solutions, and Serialization.
• Knowledge of SQL Server RDBMS / programming is an asset.
