Service: Asset Performance Operations: Remote Operations Centers

Remote Operations Centers are located across 6 different countries around the globe providing 24x7 support to Regional Service teams in different areas such as Turbine remote monitoring, plant remote monitoring and troubleshooting among others!

Responsibilities

The ROC Strategy & Innovation Engineer role is responsible for working with Turbine, Plant and Predictive Engineering teams and VTO development teams on new technologies to ensure project completion and integration with ROC in product rollouts. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Assist in the development of solution architectures, methods, and best practices that can scale software solutions across the organization.
  2. Advance our software platforms and enhance our tools stack to facilitate innovation and growth.
  3. Support the Product Manager with integration projects of ROC services to ensure ROC can deliver their remote services before, during, and after implementation.
  4. Support building contract products with clauses description for tenders, addendums, appendix, communication, and operational protocols for ROC services and deliverables.
  5. Support Technical and Operational Leads running RCA and following up with supporting areas such as Digital Solutions, Engineering teams, etc., data engineering, and analytics after implementation in the Continuous Improvement forums.
  6. Effectively promote a solid team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing goals as well as mentoring junior technical staff.
  7. This role may require travel, working overtime, including working a flexible and variable work schedule as needed to meet business goals.

Qualifications
  1. 2-3 years of experience developing or deploying software tools, ideally with tangible applications in a corporate context.
  2. Valuable but not required to have a technical associate degree or equivalent preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree, MSc in a quantitative field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or relevant.
  3. Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript and experience with common libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenAI, TalkingHeads).
  4. Experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, neural engines technology.
  5. Knowledgeable in secure coding practices to ensure robust software development.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in software architecture and design patterns, with a deep understanding of when and how to apply them effectively.
  7. Experience working within agile frameworks and tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
  8. Familiarity with testing libraries and proficiency in version control (GitHub).
  9. Understanding of build systems and tools to streamline development processes.
  10. Basic experience with Cloud platforms: Azure, Confluent Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks.
  11. Hands-on experience with complex data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  12. Knowledgeable in forecasting methods and data visualization to inform business decisions.
