About the Role

We’re looking for a Back-End / Full Stack Developer to help us modernize and refine a blockchain-based financial product that has grown significantly since its humble beginnings.

What started as a small experiment has since evolved into a complex system, and along the way, we’ve learned a ton: what works, what doesn’t, and that sometimes past-you makes future-you question everything. The core system is solid, but now it needs thoughtful attention and a touch of care to keep it in top shape.

You’ll be joining a small but mighty development team to enhance and streamline the platform. For the first few months, you’ll work closely with our experienced developers to get up to speed - consider it a guided tour through the system’s quirks and hidden passageways. After that, you’ll take the reins and own key development tasks.

If you love writing clean, maintainable code, enjoy untangling complex systems following DDD principles, and get a thrill from solving tough technical challenges, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing

• Play a key part in modernizing and replacing core system components with fresh, forward-thinking solutions.
• Develop and integrate new features for our blockchain-based API service.
• Ensure code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD) and best practices.
• Design and implement scalable and maintainable back-end architecture.
• Collaborate with the technical team to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Work with APIs and financial systems, ensuring secure and efficient data handling.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in software development (back-end or full stack).
• Experience with high-load applications.
• Deep understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• A background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• The ability to own your work, solve problems, and collaborate with the team.

You’ll be a great fit if you have

• Experience with finance, trading, or crypto/blockchain projects.
• Knowledge of security best practices in financial systems.
• Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) and Clean Code principles.
