Our charter is to provide customers and partners a compelling, secure, and robust experience with a steady flow of engaging new features throughout the lifetime of a device.
As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, software development engineers, testers, and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You will learn a variety of advanced technologies, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as leadership and effective project management. You will also mentor junior software development engineers.

About the team
FireTV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting FireTV experiences to third-party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop, and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experience and impact billions of viewers and devices.
We are spinning up a greenfield engineering team to build tools and technologies which will redefine the way third-party partners build their TVs on the FireTV ecosystem. With an exciting roadmap and launches planned ahead, the FireTV 3P engineering team will independently own, deliver, and support the end-to-end product journey for partners.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
