Verisure, operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure), is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Backend Software Developer for our IT Marketing & Sales Team. The role will be part of a growing and talented Technology Team.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a Backend Software Developer to build the best-in-class Sales and Marketing IT platform for our Security Experts in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, UK, Ireland, Sweden, or Belgium. Additionally, this role will provide level 2 support since our application is running in a production environment.

  • Service-oriented profile that works on tasks, projects, and activities to improve the health of the technical platform.
  • Support technical lead in defining technical solutions and helping the team achieve objectives.
  • Work on automation of repetitive tasks and tools that provide capacity and platform health.
  • Support stakeholders with bugs and service tickets.
  • Support development projects focusing on long-term optimal operation.
  • Knowledge and experience in systems designed and deployed on containers and orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Knowledge and experience with software development methodologies, version control tools, and continuous integration/deployment (GIT, Maven, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Karma, Jasmine, Behave, Jenkins, Artifactory, JMeter, SoapUI, Sonar, Postman).
  • Knowledge of general programming languages (Java, .NET) will be a plus.
  • Experience managing Azure environments and services for deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MongoDB database, preferably in Atlas, and relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of reactive programming will be a plus.
  • DevOps engineer mindset and skills.

Competencies

  • Supports and works with development teams responsible for operations and service aspects of all projects and evolutions in the platform.
  • Helps the team focus on refinement sessions and be participative.
  • Supports development team to evolve and maintain application building pipelines based on various technologies.
  • Experience with code repositories like Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies/lean and tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience delivering Java + Spring Boot / JEE Business Solutions.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 2+ years' experience in Microservices development.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Azure services (concretely AKS).
  • 2+ years’ experience with SQL/Oracle and/or MongoDB.
  • 2+ years’ experience with OO analysis and design.
  • Experience with Microservices, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Redis, Bitbucket, and Maven.
  • Experience with SQL, Hibernate, Web Services (REST and/or SOAP).

Will be a plus...

  • Experience with automation tools and DevOps concepts (Ansible, Ansible Tower, Open Nebula, VMWare, etc.).
  • Knowledge using caches (Redis, Coherence, etc.) and development frameworks.

Requirements

Education:

  • Software development Technical Certificate.
  • Master/B.A in Computer Engineering or Telecommunications.
  • Minimum English B2.
