Job Description : Senior Java Software Engineer – FX Trading Platform

Location: Based in Ukraine with potential business trips

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing high-performance trading systems.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Java programming.
• Strong OOP design patterns knowledge.
• Deep understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection tuning, and profiling.
• Expertise in multi-threaded & concurrent programming.
• Experience with Java networking, sockets programming, TCP internals.
• Experience with database systems.
• Strong understanding of clean code principles & defensive programming.
• Ability to estimate, plan, and track project progress.
• High level of spoken English for international collaboration.
• Readiness for business trips when required.

Nice to Have:

• C / C++ experience for deeper system-level optimization.
• Exposure to DevOps & CI / CD pipelines.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop & optimize high-performance trading software.
• Implement clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Fine-tune JVM performance, optimize garbage collection & concurrency.
• Enhance networking and socket-based communication for trading applications.
• Mentor & transfer knowledge to junior engineers.
• Participate in system testing & validation procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
