We are seeking a highly qualified software engineer with a PhD in a relevant field to join our dynamic R&D team. In this role, you will take the lead in designing and implementing advanced signal post-processing software solutions to analyze electromagnetic signals interacting with implanted metallic coronary stents. Your work will be instrumental in developing and refining algorithms that ensure the accuracy and performance of real-time, point-of-care diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in signal processing and experience working with data from medical devices. A background in telecommunications engineering or applied mathematics is highly valued but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, optimize, and deploy sophisticated signal post-processing tools to analyze electromagnetic signals from coronary stents, translating them into clinically relevant outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, biomedical experts, and data scientists, to integrate signal processing techniques into broader biomedical systems.
  3. Analyze and interpret complex datasets generated by interactions between electromagnetic fields and metallic implants, identifying patterns, interference, and distortions.
  4. Create innovative solutions to reduce noise, enhance signal clarity, and ensure reliable data extraction from challenging environments.
  5. Stay current with advancements in signal processing, biomedical engineering, and telecommunications to continually improve methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
  2. Proven expertise in developing and optimizing algorithms for electromagnetic signal post-processing.
  3. Strong knowledge of signal analysis techniques, including filtering, time-frequency analysis, and noise reduction.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ for algorithm development and data analysis.
  5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with complex datasets, particularly involving interactions between electromagnetic fields and metallic structures.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  1. Experience with biomedical signals, especially those related to metallic implants such as pacemakers, prosthetics, or stents.
  2. Background in telecommunications engineering, including expertise in wireless signal interference and multipath effects.
  3. Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in signal processing and biomedical data analysis.
  4. Knowledge of regulatory standards for medical devices and electromagnetic safety protocols.
